Oma's Favorite handcrafted soaps are made by combining all natural vegetable oils and butters with sodium hydroxide, resulting in a conversion process known as saponification. Glycerin, the primary by-product of this process, is the skin softening aspect of a superior quality handcrafted soap. Our soaps are gentle because the natural glycerin is left in the soap.
Most commercial soap manufacturers extract the glycerin and sell it as a by-product to be used in higher priced beauty products like lotions and skin creams.
Our soaps contain Olive Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Soybean Oil, Corn Oil, Sunflower Oil, Castor Oil and Quality Fragrance and/or Essential Oils.
Some batches contain Shea Butter, Milk, Herbs and/or other natural additives.
